The winery was founded by Toto’ Alagna with his father Giuseppe Alagna. The main focus of the company was to cultivate grapes and sell bulk wine. Bottle business was present but marginal.

Ercole Alagna, grandson of Giuseppe, joins the company and expands the bottle business mostly in north of Italy while pursuing the previous businesses of agriculture and bulk wine trade.

Antonio Alagna joins the company to expand the tourism and export activities, creating facilities welcoming guests and visits to the vineyard and its showroom.

The Trademark Alagna becomes officially an historical brand, rewarded by state authorities.

The winery has constantly grown over its 75 years of history, reaching 80 hectares of vineyards located in the Marsala region, a dimension which enables 60,000 HL of production capacity.
