Cremovo is a typical Sicilian alcoholic drink, often used as an aperitif or dessert. It is a liqueur wine enriched with egg yolk, sugar and aromas. It is a traditional product, much appreciated for its sweetness and creaminess. Our winery produces a version that reflects the quality and tradition of the region. The base is Marsala wine, a fortified wine typical of Sicily. Marsala is known for its rich and complex flavor, resulting from aging in wooden barrels. The egg yolk gives the characteristic of creaminess and a golden yellow color.
Adding sugar increases the sweetness of the drink, while aromas, which may include vanilla or spices, further enrich the gustatory profile. It has a rich and complex aromatic bouquet, with notes of vanilla, caramel and sweet spices. On the palate, it is sweet and velvety, with a creamy texture and a persistent flavor. Sweetness is balanced by the structure of Marsala, which adds depth and complexity.
